    Outreach projects in Geoinformatics and Environment Science

    Outreach has been a core mandate of the institution since its inception. Its voluntary effort at training teachers for imparting environment education in schools constitutes an integral part of its curriculum of PG Diploma in environment science/ Master of Science in Environment Science and other related courses. Consistent practice of this activity since its inception in 1994 has today resulted in the development of a special expertise that the institute is today known for nationally. This has also resulted in the development of a separate department for outreach activities besides the regular activities of NSS.
